“It’s just a waste of government funds and a source of national embarrassment. We should train them hard and deploy them only in these international sporting events when we know that they are ready.”

“We should not be sending athletes in international sporting competitions so that they can see the world or get some sort of international exposure. We send our athletes to win a medal. We should train our athletes properly and bring out the best in them but until then, we should stop wasting taxpayers’ money so they can have an excursion.”

“We are too much into sports like basketball, football and volleyball but it would require us a full genetic upgrade before we can truly excel in these types of sports. It’s entirely a different story however if we take part into endurance sports like marathon, or in weight-classed sports like boxing and weightlifting,” ani Nograles.

“Filipinos can do very well in archery, shooting, synchronized swimming, diving, athletics, golf, judo, taekwondo and other sports that doesn’t give advantage to taller and bigger players,” saad ng solon. “We should put our money on these kinds of sports.”
