Nora, Juday tinalo ng baguhang aktres sa 2016 Cinemalaya; Tommy Abuel best actor

ISANG baguhang indie actress ang tumalo kina Superstar Nora Aunor at Soap Opera Queen Judy Ann Santos sa pagka-best actress sa katatapos lang na 2016 Cinemalaya Film Festival.

Itinanghal na pinakamahusay na aktres ng pestibal si Hasmine Killip para sa kanyang performance sa “Pamilya Ordinaryo” sa ginanap na gabi ng parangal noong Linggo ng gabi sa CCP Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater).

Siyam na pelikula ang naglaban-laban sa 2016 Cinemalaya, ito ang mga sumusunod: “Ang Bagong Pamilya Ni Ponching” ni Inna Miren Salazar at Dos Ocampo, “Dagsin” sa direksiyon ni Atom Magadia, “Hiblang Abo” ni Ralston Jover, “I America” ni Ivan Andrew Payawal, “Kusina” by David Corpuz and Cenon Palomares, “Lando At Bugoy” ni Vic Acedillo, Jr., “Mercury Is Mine” ni Jason Paul Laxamana, “Pamilya Ordinaryo” ni Eduardo Roy, Jr. at “Tuos” ni Derick Cabrido.

Nanalong Best Screenplay ang “Mercury Is Mine” habang waging Best Performance of a Supporting Actor ang ensemble cast (Jun Urbano, Leo Rialp, Nanding Josef at Lou Veloso) ng “Hiblang Abo” at nag-tie naman sa Best Performance of a Supporting Actress sina Lollie Mara ng “Ang Bagong Pamilya ni Ponching” at Elizabeth Oropesa para sa “I America”.

Best Director si Eduardo Roy for “Pamilya Ordinaryo” at Best Actor si Tommy Abuel for “Dagsin”. Waging Best Film ang “Pamilya Ordinaryo” at naiuwi naman ng “Tuos” ang Audience Choice Award.
