Andy Jao itinalagang NCAA Season 92 basketball commissioner
ITINALAGA ng host San Beda College ang beteranong broadcaster at analyst na si Andy Jao bilang commissioner ng basketball tournament nito sa Season 92 ng National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) na magbubukas sa Hunyo 25 sa SM Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.
“Yes, he’s the NCAA commissioner this coming season,” sabi ni NCAA Management Committee chair Jose Mari Lacson ng season host San Beda patungkol kay Jao.
Kinumpirma naman ni NCAA president at San Beda rector Fr. Aloysius Maranan, OSB, ang pagtalaga kay Jao.
Ito ang unang pagkakataon para kay Jao na magsilbing commissioner sa pinakamatandang liga ng mga unibersidad sa bansa na NCAA at pangkalahatang ikatlo matapos na magsilbi sa UAAP noong 2011 at 2014.
Una nang nagsilbi si Jao bilang commissioner ng nabuwag na Philippine Basketball League (PBL).
“We have confidence in him (Jao) and we know he’ll be fair to everyone,” sabi ni Lacson.
