Australian Embassy kay Duterte: Hindi dapat gawing biro ang rape at murder
NAGPAPALABAS na ang Australian Embassy ng pahayag kaugnay ng kontrobersiyal na biro ni Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte matapos naman ang panggagahasa sa isang Australyana.
Sinabi ng Australian Embassy na hindi dapat gawing biro ang rape at murder.
“Rape and murder should never be joked about or [trivialized]. Violence against women and girls is unacceptable anytime, anywhere,” sabi ng Australian Embassy sa maiksing pahayag na ipinost sa Facebook page nito.
Ito’y matapos namang kumalat sa social media ang video clip kung saan binanggit ni Duterte ang nangyaring hostage taking sa isang Davao detention cell noong Agosto 1989.
“Son of a bitch, what a waste. I was thinking that they raped her and lined up. I was angry because she was raped, that’s one thing. But she was so beautiful, the mayor should have been first, what a waste,” ang bahagi ng pahayag ni Duterte.
Umani naman ng batikos ang ginawang biro ni Duterte kaugnay ng pagpatay at panggagahasa sa 36-anyos na Australian lay missionary na si Jacqueline Hamill.
