“We are, therefore, very concerned with what appears to be a misinformation drive being waged by the supporters of other candidates, particularly Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte. From fake endorsements to fake meetings to fake surveys, they are flooding social media with baseless and exaggerated claims that have all been denied by the supposed sources,” ani Durano.
“This has been denied by no less than Pulse Asia, which said that it did not conduct said survey,” ani Durano.
“These were all lies,” dagdag pa ni Durano. “The Duterte camp seems to have no qualms about playing fast and loose with facts and figures in the hope that they will fool people in the frenzy of the campaign.”
“It is clear that the Mayor cannot discipline his own supporters. How can we believe he can discipline others when he cannot do it for his own people,” ani Gutierrez. “This is the brand of Duterte discipline.”
