AFTER niyang sumali sa X-Factor Philippines sometime in 2011 (I hope I got the year right) where he landed sa Top 20, sumabak agad si Michael Pangilinan sa Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 2014 where he interpreted the controversial gay-themed song na “Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako” composed by Joven Tan na isa na rin ngayong pelikula topbilled by Michael.

It was a tough fight actually, naging darkhorse lang talaga si Michael dahil during the many earlier weeks that it run, it looked impossible for him na makahabol sa Top 5.

Pero nang banatan niya sa “Duet Yourself” week nila ang “Lay Me Down” nina John Legend and Sam Smith, he wowed the whole world! Hanep ang performance na iyon – I guess, if I’m not mistaken, ‘yon ang most trending sa lahat ng performance sa YFSF Season 2.

Sa grand finals naman he did “Sugar” by Adam Levine of Maroon 5 where he landed 2nd place nga against grand winner Denise Laurel who won via text votes. Now, Michael is into another challenge, aside from his very hectic schedules, makikipag-duet siya this time with Angeline Quinto sa Himig Handog 2016 interpreting Marlon Barnuevo’s “Parang Tayo Pero Hindi”.

Pa-humble-effect ba ito or what? Charrot!
