PNP iginiit ang ‘no ransom’ policy para sa 4 na Samal kidnap victims

IGINIIT ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na hindi magbibigay ng ransom ang gobyerno matapos naman ang ulat na humihingi ng P4 bilyon ransom ang mga Abu Sayyaf kapalit ng paglaya ng apat na mga dinukot sa Samal Island, kabilang na ang tatlong banyaga at isang Pinay.
Sinabi ni PNP spokesperson Chief Superintendent Wilben Mayor na ipinapatupad ng gobyerno ang no-ransom policy.

“The PNP adheres to the principle of no-ransom policy. Rest assured that the operations of the PNP and the Armed Forces of the Philippines are continuing to ensure their safety. That is the primordial concern of the PNP and the AFP,” giit ni Mayor.

Idinagdag pa ni Mayor na sinusuri na ng Anti-Cybercrime Group ng PNP ang umano’y video hinggil sa paghihingi ng P4 bilyon ransom ng Abu Sayyaf.
Sa isang video na ipinalabas noong Martes, makikita ang mga Canadian national na sina John Ridsdel at Robert Hall, Pinay na si Marites Flor at Norwegian na si Kjartan Sekkingstad na napapalibutan ng mga armadong lalaki na may bandila pa ng ISIS.
Sa video sinabi ni Ridsdel na P1 bilyon ang hinihingi ng Abu Sayyaf kada isa sa kanila. Inquirer.net
