AND the whiner (taong mareklamo) is…Kris Aquino!
We’ll open with a question: Kung kumita as expected ang JoshLia movie, inilabas pa kaya ni Kris ang kanyang mga sama ng loob sa Star Cinema?
While everyone thought all along things took a turn for the better ay hindi pala.
Probably thinking it wouldn’t help achieve the desired box office outcome—with her pa mandin in the movie—ay behaved si Kris, pero bumubuwelo lang.
For some reason, may humarang in what could have been her chance to share the frame again with former The Buzz co-host.
Having done TV work sa mahabang panahon, Kris should know the ABC of allowing a guest to sit for an interview.
Dalawang options lang: live or taped ang interview. With either option comes a list of considerations na isinasaalang-alang ng program staff.
May delikadong guest (read: takaw-libel or worse, puwedeng maging sanhi ng program cancelation) na karaniwang iniuupo for a canned interview.
Bukod sa mas naaalagaan ito sa post-prod o editing, it’s a relief on the part of the production para maiwasan ang anumang posibleng aberya caused by the guest who rants like a loose cannon.
Obviously, the staff has little if not no control over the guest kung magla-live ito.
Baka (baka lang) ito ang concern ng Tonight With Boy Abunda staff (not Kuya Boy) sa maaaring maging behavior ni Kris before the cameras, as no one could ever tell.
Dapat din ay alam ni Kris that it’s the program—from which she asks a favor—which calls the shots.
Maaari ring Kris came on a bit too demanding, hindi request ‘yung kanya na may lambing or gentle stroking.
Besides, sa husay ni Kris – both as an interviewer and an interviewee – immaterial na kung live o ite-tape siya. In the first place, hindi naman siya ang pangunahing bida.
It’s not one of her massacre movies noon kung saan siya ang nasa etiketa ng produkto.
At dahil isa-isa ngang isinambulat ni Kris ang kanyang mga sentimyento – to think that her comeback vehicle could have beckoned a string of follow-up projects with Star Cinema—it was the last nail that sealed the coffin.
Masundan pa kaya ‘yon? We’ll end this with an answer: In her dreams.

Sa bibig na rin mismo ni Kris nanggaling that she’s “unwanted” over at ABS-CBN. Kung totoo man, she just has to live with it.
May kapaniwalaan ngang no one is indispensable. Kahit gaano pa kagaling ang isang tao, there will always be a room for other people who are far better to work with na nakaka-deliver din.
There’s life after ABS-CBN, this Kris has so proven herself. While many thought it was the end of the world for her, mas dumami pa nga ang kanyang mga trabaho which translate to hefty millions.
Ano ‘to, package deal?
But one can’t have it all, ‘yun pa ang isang kapaniwalaan that Kris should open her eyes to.
