Mark Bautista, Paolo Ballesteros magkaiba ang style ng pagiging bading

GETTING her inspiration from a book, pinalitan lang ni Maine Mendoza ang dalawang salita sa pamagat nito as her personal blog title.

Hindi si Maine ang bida roon kundi mga tao who she rubs elbows with (napansin lang namin ang ilang grammatical lapses niya while doing a ‘foreword’ on her piece). Buena mano si Paolo Ballesteros, ang kasama ni Maine sa isang outdoor segment ng Eat Bulaga, and his “coming out.”

We’re also “coming out” with our thoughts on Paolo’s take sa matagal nang hinihintay at inaabangan ng lahat tungkol sa kanyang paglaladlad.

Ang nais lang naman kasi ng madlang pipol (or Dabarkads in the case of the EB fans) is for Paolo to simply say yes or no. “Yes, I’m gay!” or “No, I’m not gay!” Parang as if matatahimik na ang binubulabog nilang kunsensiya once they hear Paolo say either.

Pero huwag ka, hindi ang denial sa pagiging isang beki ni Paolo will sound music to a lot of them, kundi ang pag-aming, “Opo, bakla ako!”

Pero ang diskarte ni Juan (whose name is Juanita at night) ay hindi strategy ni Pedro (who uses Petra tuwing gabi). Ergo, kung umamin nitong February si Mark Bautista that he has homosexual leanings, let’s not pattern him after Paolo.

Sa pagme-make over pa lang at panggagaya ng fez ng mga artista—both local and foreign—ay malaki na ang kaibahan nina Mark at Paolo,

Paolo drives home a point. Coming out is and should not be dictated upon, kundi ang mismong may katawan. Huwag nating ipilit kay Paolo if he chooses not to reveal his identity, karapatan niya ‘yon. And nobody has the right to take that right away from him.

Here’s another point to ponder.

May kasabihang “It takes one to know one.” This being a universal truth, alam na. Ano pa ba naman kasing pag-amin ang gusto nilang marinig straight from the horse’s (or mare’s) mouth?

Kung ang pagiging isang beki ay maituturing—kunwari lang—na isang krimen, huli man sa akto o hindi, then Paolo is guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

Eh, ano naman?

The irony is that, literal ngang wala sa preso ang sinumang closet gay pero nakakulong naman siya sa selda ng sarili niyang pagkatao.
