DEREK RAMSAY AT JOANNE VILLABLANCA

HINDI big deal kay Derek Ramsay kung second choice lang siya bilang leading man ni Jennylyn Mercado sa pelikulang “All Of You” na kasama sa 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival showing sa Dis. 25.

Ang katwiran ng aktor, “With all my movies, second option talaga ‘ko. I think, I’ve never done a movie na ako ang first option. So I’m perfectly fine. Isang tawag lang ni Atty. Joji (Alonso) sa akin. I think wala pang two days.”

“That’s just a bonus for me. As an actor, we should always work as a team. Kung magkakaroon ng award, I’ll be very, very happy of course. But if not, I’m very, very happy right now kasi, we’re given a very good film,” nakangiting sabi ni Derek.

“It’s more of we finally had that talk that was long overdue to squash whatever it is that happened.

“It’s a courtesy call, I got to speak with Tita Malou (Santos), Tita Cory (Vidanes), Gabby Lopez, just to show that kasi it is a big thing and we never had closure. So I vented out why and they vented out why.

“It was just like a bunch of friends na nagkatampuhan and we walked out there, relieved, and to look forward which is this movie with Bea and Paulo, which will start off on January. It’s a big project,” kuwento pa ng aktor.

“I am still under contract with TV5, so my loyalty is with TV5. My contract expires April of next year so they have all of me and I’m gonna give a hundred percent to TV5 because I am committed to them,” paliwanag ni Derek.

“After that, if they still want my services, then I will give them that respect and siyempre, sila pa rin yung priority ko. But if not, I’ll see what happens,” sagot ng aktor.

“I guess people would question, ‘I thought, why would he be doing a movie with Star Cinema if there’s animosity between the two?’

“But you know, I had no hate against ABS-CBN. It was more of hurt, and the same thing with them, and we were able to clear it all out,” say pa ng aktor nang makorner ng ilang reporter pagkatapos ng presscon ng “All Of You” na idinirek ni Dan Villegas para sa Quantum Films, MJM Productions, Globe Studios at Planet Media Productions.

For a year.

He’s gonna come here again for Christmas. Ang problema lang is his passport is expiring in February, and we can’t get him an appointment. Ang hirap kasi.

“So, if he comes here, hindi siya makakabalik to go to school. So we’re trying to get an appointment.
