Pinay, best actress sa Asean Film Awards para sa ‘Birdshot’

WAGING Best Actress si Mary Joy Apostol para sa award-winning na pelikulang “Birdshot” sa katatapos lang na ASEAN Film Awards na ginanap sa Vietnam kamakailan.
Ang ASEAN Film Awards ay itinuturing na “auxiliary awards show” ng 20th Vietnam Film Festival dedicated to directors in ASEAN region. Ang “Birdshot” ay idinirek ni Mikhail Red na pinagbibidahan din ni John Arcilla.
Ang “A Yellow Bird” ng Singapore ang Best Picture habang ang lead actor nitong si Sivakumar Palakrishnan ang Best Actor.
Ang “Birdshot” din ang napili para maging official entry ng Pilipinas sa Best Foreign Language Film category ng 2018 Academy Awards. Naipalabas ito bilang opening film sa nakaraang Cinemalaya Film Festival.
