Opisyal ng DOTr nagbitiw dahil sa mga aberya sa MRT3

NAGBITIW si Transportation Undersecretary Cesar Chavez sa kanyang puwesto sa harap naman ng sunod-sunod na aberya sa Metro Rail Transit (MRT3). “This is to tender my irrevocable resignation from my position as Undersecretary for Railways of the Department of Transportation effective immediately,” sabi ni Chavez sa kanyang sulat kay Pangulong Duterte. Ito’y sa harap naman ng walang katapusang nararanasang aberya sa MRT-3 kung saan ang pinakahuli ay ang pagkalas ng isang bagon habang bumibiyahe ang tren sa pagitan ng Buendia station at Ayala station. “I hope the President understands that in the light of recent events involving the MRT3 system, simple sense of delicadeza which I have adhered to throughout my professional life gives me no choice but to resign from my said position,” ayon pa kay Chavez. Kasama pa dapat si Chavez sa pagsakay ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque sa MRT, bagamat biglang inihayag ang kanyang pagbibitiw.
