Coco, Vice, Daniel, Pia Jericho, Jen, Vic, Dawn rambulan sa 2017 MMFF
MAGANDA ang line-up ng mga pelikulang siguradong pasok na sa 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival. Pawang malalaking artista ang bida sa mga napiling entry.
Ang apat na pelikulang maswerteng nakapasok na sa listahan ng official entries na mapapanood sa Disyembre 25, 2017 hanggang-Enero, 2018 ay ang mga sumusunod: “Ang Panday” ni Coco Martin na siya rin ang direktor at producer (CCM Creative Productions); “Almost Is Not Enough” nina Jericho Rosales at Jennylyn Mercado sa direksyon ni Dan Villegas under Quantum & MJM Productions.

Pasok din ang “The Revengers” nina Vice Ganda, Daniel Padilla at Pia Wurtzbach sa direksyon ni Joyce Bernal mula sa Star Cinema at Viva Films; at ang “Love Traps: #Family Goals” nina Vic Sotto at Dawn Zulueta na ididirek ni Antonio Reyes from Octo Arts Films.
Sabi ng mga taga-MMFF, asahan ang quality films sa finished product lalo na ‘yung kina Vic at Dawn na mala-“John And Marsha” ang kuwento.
Excited naman ang Quantum producer na si Atty. Joji Alonso sa pagkakapili ng balik-tambalan nina Jericho at Jennylyn, “Ang ganda kasi ng chemistry nila, Reggs kaya excited na ako to work with them again.”
Matatandaang naging Best Actor at Best Actress sina Echo at Jen sa pelikulang “Walang Forever” na napasama rin sa 2015 MMFF na nagwagi rin ng Best Original Story, Best Screenplay at Best Picture.
Samantala, ayon kay MMFF Executive Committee and Chairman Tim Orbos, “Our selection committee had a difficult time choosing given the quality of films. We have to thank them for their exhaustive and thorough deliberations.
“We also have to give credit to this year’s Rules Committee which devised the two-part selection process that gave a greater latitude to interested participants for this year,” aniya pa.
Ang mga nabanggit na pelikula ay may 40% artistic excellence, 40% commercial appeal, 10% promotion of Filipino cultural and historical values at 10% global appeal.
Samantala, ang natitirang apat na slots sa Magic 8 ng MMFF 2017 ay iaanunsyo sa Nob. 17 kasama ang naunang apat na napili na.
