PH cue artists mag-aagawan sa SEA Games slots

Angelito Oredo - February 01, 2017 - 11:00 PM

“We don’t have a choice dahil kakaunti ang sasalihang event sa SEA Games kaya we have to send our best athlete by selecting them through the qualifying process,” sabi ni Mananquil, na miyembro rin ng POC-PSC SEA Games Task Force at itinalaga na media bureau chief ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC).

“Only two can represent the country in SEA Games dahil isang event lang ang para sa babae,” sabi ni Mananquil. “So it leaves Cheska Centeno, Rubilen Amit, Iris Ranola and Florian Andal, to compete in an elimination tryout with the two finalist going to the SEA Games.”

“We will start the qualifying next week when our ladies are back from the international tournament na Spring Amway sa Taipei dahil sasali ang ating women’s team doon. Ang men’s qualifying will be by April dahil sasali sila sa Golden Classic Derby. We will have our last qualifying maybe by first week of April in time for the deadline of submission of entry by name ng delegation sa May,” sabi pa ni Mananquil.
