INIHAIN ang panibagong ethics complaint laban kay Sen. Leila de Lima, kagabi, habang dinidinig naman ang mga testimonya ng mga testigo sa Kamara kung saan idinidiin ang senador sa iligal na droga.
Sinabi ni Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III, chair ng Senate committee on ethics and privileges, na hindi pa niya nababasa ang nilalaman ng panibagong reklamo laban kay de Lima.
Ito na ang ikalawang reklamo na isinampa laban kay de Lima matapos naman siyang pangalanan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa drug matrix sa New Bilibid Prisons ng siya pa ang kalihim ng Department of Justice (DOJ).
Tumanggi rin siyang isapubliko ang detalye ng reklamo hanggang hindi pa nababasa ng kanyang mga kapwa senador.
Idineliber ang reklamo sa committee noong Martes ng gabi.
“[It’s from a] different complainant. I haven’t seen it. The committee just informed me that somebody came over last night with a new complaint,” sabi ni Sotto.
Idinagdag ni Sotto na tatalakayin ng committee ang reklamo, kasama ng naunang inihain laban kay de Lima.
“That is the reason we are still in the issue of whether we have jurisdiction or not. Hopefully by next week, I’m sure all the members have already read their copies of the amended complaint,” dagdag ni Sotto.
