Lambunao wagi ng 2 ginto sa US memory games

NANALO ng dalawang gintong medalya si International Master of Memory (IMM) Jamyla Lambunao upang pamunuan ang kampanya ng Avesco-Philippine Team sa 1st U.S. Open Memory Championship na ginanap noong Mayo 5-6 sa Los Angeles, California.

Ang 13-anyos na si Lambunao ang pinakabatang kalahok sa torneo ngunit tumapos siya sa ikapitong puwesto overall at tinanghal na kampeon sa juniors division ng kompetisyon.

Sa unang araw ng torneyo ay nakamit niya ang gintong medalya at inulit pa ito sa pangalawang araw ng torneo. Nakakuha pa siya ng tansong medalya sa card rush.

Magaan na tinalo ng incoming Grade 9 student sa St. Scholastica’s Academy-Marikina ang 16-anyos na si Malcolm Burdorf ng Amerika para sa korona sa juniors.

Hindi naman umuwing luhaan ang iba pang miyembro ng Avesco-Philippine Team makaraang manalo rin si Grandmaster of Memory (GMM) Johann Randall Abrina ng isang silver medal (number rush), si GMM Mark Anthony Castaneda ng tatlong tanso (10-minute card, data rush at names & faces) at si IMM Axelyany Cowan Tabernilla ng isang tansong medalya (spoken numbers). —Mike Lee
