INATASAN ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang promoter ng international band na One Direction, na maglagak ng P400,000 cash bond para mabigyan Special Work Permit (SWP) para makapag-concert sa bansa.
Sinabi ni BI Spokesperson Elaine Tan na layunin nito na maprotektahan ang publiko sakaling may mga paglabag ang mga miyembro ng One Direction habang nasa Pilipinas.
“The band will be prevented from performing during the scheduled concert dates on March 21 and 22, 2015 should the producer fail to post the cash bond prior to those dates,” sabi ni Tan.
Ito’y matapos na ring hilingin ng Pamilyang Pilipino Inc. (ADA), isang anti-drug advocate group, na kailangan nang higpitan ang pagbibigay ng SWP, partikular sa mga nasasangkot sa paggamit ng droga.
Ginawa ng ADA ang panawagan matapos namang kumalat sa internet ang video ng dalawang miyembro ng One Direction na sina Zayn Malik at Louis Tomlinson habang gumagamit ng marijuana.
Inatasan naman sina Malik at Tomlinson na maglagak ng 200,000 cash bond bawat isa. Hindi naman nila ito mababawi sakaling mahuli na nagdodroga. Inquirer.net
