NAPANATILI ng Meralco Bolts ang malinis na kartada at solo liderato matapos nilang maungusan ang Globalport Batang Pier, 86-84, sa kanilang 2015 PBA Commissioner’s Cup elimination round game kahapon sa SM Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.

Si Josh Davis ang nagsilbing bayani para sa Meralco matapos na tumira ng buzzer-beating off-balanced jumper sa harap ng bagong import ng Batang Pier na si Calvin Warner may 3.2 segundo sa laro upang ihatid ang Bolts sa ikalimang sunod na panalo.

Samantala, pormal na inanunsyo ni PBA Commissioner Chito Salud ang kanyang pagbibitiw sa puwesto sa pagtatapos ng 40th season ng liga sa ginanap na press conference kahapon sa MOA Arena.

“I think its time to move on, to give way to someone. I have a personal timeline of four to five years,” sabi ni Salud.

“This is not about me. This is about the future of the PBA. Today, the PBA is stronger in its 40th year and more relevant than ever,” dagdag pa ni Salud.
