NARATING ng Hapee Fresh Fighters ang puwesto sa championship round nang talunin uli ang Café France Bakers, 69-56, sa 2015 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup semifinals kahapon sa The Arena sa San Juan City.

Nanatili naman ang Cagayan Rising Suns na nakatutok sa puwesto sa finals nang hiritan ang Cebuana Lhuillier Gems ng 98-93 panalo sa kanilang hiwalay na serye.

Nasilayan uli ang matibay na depensa ng Fresh Fighters nang limitahan lamang ang Bakers sa siyam na puntos at kabuuang 20 puntos sa second half.

Si Garvo Lanete ay may walong puntos sa ikatlong yugto na dinomina ng Hapee, 18-9, upang ang isang puntos paghahabol ay naging 51-45 kalamangan papasok sa huling yugto.

May 12 puntos si Lanete habang sina Bobby Ray Parks Jr. at Ola Adeogun ay gumawa pa ng 19 at 12 puntos para walisin ng Hapee ang best-of-three semis series.

“Excited sila sa first half and they wanted to put the game right away. But the halftime break allowed the players to think clearly and my veterans helped steady the team,” wika ni Hapee coach Ronnie Magsanoc.

Nagpakawala si 6-foot-7 rookie Moala Tautuaa ng 26 puntos at 13 rebounds habang si Abel Galliguez ay may 16 puntos at ang dalawang Fil-foreigners ay naghatid ng mahahalagang puntos sa huling yugto para manalo ang Cagayan kahit nawala ang malaking kalamangan sa ikatlong yugto.

May limang puntos lamang si Tautuaa habang bokya si Galliguez sa 89-85 pagkatalo sa unang pagtutuos.
