Alden vs Tom: Sino ang susunod na GMA Primetime King?
DALAWA sina Tom Rodriguez and Alden Richards bilang GMA Prime Leading Man.
Week three na ang morning game show ni Tom na Don’t Lose The Money in between Basta Everyday Happy and The Ryzza Mae Show at simula naman sa solo hosting si Alden sa weeknight updates ng bagong talent show na Bet Ng Bayan, 10 p.m..
Hindi nga ba sabi namin GMA is experimenting on new hosts, actually mostly males nga the likes of Tom and Alden. Tom carries Don’t Lose The Money solo samantalang ka-share naman ni Alden si Regine Velasquez sa Sunday edition ng Bet Ng Bayan.
Hindi lang ito ang similarity nila dahil pareho rin silang tinawag na GMA Prime Leading Man. We thought this is just Alden’s tag dahil sa kaniya namin ito unang nabasa and then we read the same tag describing Tom.
Pati nga ang scheduling nila, magkatulad. Tom does hosting sa Don’t Lose The Money in the morning while acting sa My Destiny sa gabi sa TeleBabad samantalang si Alden, magsasabay this month ang kaniyang Bet Ng Bayan hosting and his four weeks bayani serye na Ilustrado where he plays Jose Rizal.
Establishing their position as GMA’s Prime Leading Man, mabenta rin ang dalawa as far as movies are concerned. Sa pagkakaalam namin, kahit umalis na siya sa original network niya, his next movie is for the film arm of the said network samantalang si Alden, very happy nang matutuloy ang kaniyang “Cain At Abel” with Mark Herras.
Mga prime leading men nga, hindi lang sa GMA at least.
