Chito Miranda niresbakan ang mga kalaban ni Marcos

BINIRA si Chito Miranda ng dalawang organizations matapos itong mag-pose nang katulad ni former President Ferdinand Marcos nitong birthday celebration nito sa Ilocos.

Kahapon inilabas namin sa pahinang ito ang isang statement, tinuligsa ni Student Council Alliance of the Philippines chairperson Francesca “Iska” Dalangin si Chito at hinimok itong makipagdayalogo sa mga youth groups.

“Parokya ni Edgar is a pop icon of our generation. A lot of young people, including us, idolize them. We thus hope the band uses its unique position to become ambassadors of truth. Let’s use rock n’ roll to set the truth free from the Marcoses’ historical revisionism!” say ni Dalangin.

“We are concerned that Mr. Miranda’s photo and the band’s participation in the Marcos Fiesta celebrating the late strongman’s birthday might be construed as a nod to the Marcos dictatorship. The late dictator is not someone to be applauded or emulated by the today’s young people,” sabi naman ni Akbayan-Youth chairperson Rafaela “Paeng” David.

Very cool naman ang naging reaction ni Chito sa kanyang Twitter account. Isang, “I don’t have to attend every argument I am invited to. Really wanna know what I think? For me, MUSIC IS LIFE. Everything else is trivial. :)” ang kanyang naging tugon.
