Lea Salonga’s “‘Yong mga DJ na ‘yan, wala, sorry, their names will be erased once you get to that age. Ang charm mo, talagang nagamit sa number na ito, e,” comment after the performance of Juan Karlos Labajo sa The Voice Kids caught the collective ire of Daniel Padilla fans.

Many thought she was taking a swipe at Daniel Padilla whose nickname is DJ.

“Ohhh dear… I offer my deepest apologies to Daniel P and his fans. In building up JK I neglected to think that I might hurt other people,” kaagad na tweet ni Lea.

“I meant no disrespect, but I humbly ask for forgiveness if that’s how it came across.

Marami kasi ang bet si Darren Espanto who finished 1st-runner up.

Ang daming na-disappoint na fans ni Darren. Nag-trending topic ang “#?TVKDarrenForTheChampion and “?#?ManaloMataloDarrenPaRinKami.

Nakakainis yung show. Grabe!” say naman ng isang maka-Darren. One guy had a better explanation on why Lyca won, “Para sa ‘kin deserved ni Lyca to be the first ever The Voice Kids Champion.

Hndi siya nahasa ng todo, kasi wala silang mga karaoke or something that could help her para ma boost lalo yung talent n’ya but still pinatunayan n’yang hndi yun hindrance.

Just sayin’” Well, it made sense to us.
But this one comment nailed it, “I like how people react on some things.

Funny kasi everyone’s complaining before kung bakit rich people ‘yung mga naging housemates ni Kuya in the latest edition of PBB. Hindi daw nila deserve.

“Now, nung nanalo naman si Lyca, they say, ‘Nakuha lang daw sa awa kasi mahirap.’ Like, duh? She has the talent naman talaga and without formal training pa ‘yan ah,” the guy added.

Saw the ballad competition where Darren sang “Ngayon”. He was so powerful in that number, talagang magaling. Then came Lyca’s “Narito Ako” number.

If Darren’s performance was replete with power, Lyca’s number was angst-filled. And that probably nailed it! Actually, we were also rooting for Darren because he’s a complete package but sadly he didn’t win the title.

But between him and Lyca, he has a better future because he can be honed as one of the youngest balladeers unlike Lyca na nasa awkward age pa.

What can we do? Gano’n talaga ang buhay.

Gone are the days na walang text votes sa mga reality show.
