OKLAHOMA CITY — Nagtamo ng calf injury ang defensive forward ng Oklahoma City Thunder na si Serge Ibaka noong isang linggo at una nang sinabi ng koponan na hindi na siya makapaglalaro sa kasalukuyang Playoffs.
Pero dahil sa kailangang-kailangan ng Thunder ang kanyang serbisyo laban sa San Antonio Spurs ay baka hugutin siya ng koponan para tulungan ang Thunder na umahon sa 0-2 na pagkakalubog sa Western Conference finals.
Ayon sa Thunder, si Ibaka ay nagkaroon ng “improved movement and stability and a significant decrease in swelling” kaya ibinaba sa “day-to-day” ang kanyang status.
“His progress in the last several days has been surprising,” sabi ni Thunder general manager Sam Presti. “I don’t think any of us thought we’d be standing here talking about this. We’re grateful that we are.”
