Atty. Topacio inurong ang P5.7-M civil case laban kay Bea

Finally ay maayos na talaga sina kaibigang Atty. Ferdinand Topacio and young actress Bea Binene. Matagal-tagal din bago nauwi sa settlement and reconciliation ang rift ng dating magkaibigan.

Now it can be told with finality – here’s our dear friend Atty. Topacio’s message to the media:

“Dear friends in media:
“Last Wednesday was the last hearing of my estafa case against Ms. Bea Binene’s mother Carina. I took the stand and told the judge that Bea, her mother and I have come to an agreement regarding the civil aspect of the case, and that I am no longer interested in pursuing the charge for estafa.

The lawyers of the Binenes then moved to have the case dismissed, to which my lawyer Atty. Joselito Lomangaya did not object.
“Earlier, I gave instructions to my other lawyer, Atty. Philip Jurado, not to pursue the P5.7M civil case for damages any longer. Bea has already satisfied me with her signed statement saying that her earlier pronouncements about me regarding my supposed lack of authority to represent her were the result of misappreciation of facts, and she also took the stand in another case saying she is no longer proceeding against me.

“For my part, I expressed my regret for whatever statements I issued against Bea. As of now, there are no more legal conflicts between Bea and myself.

“With those acts, I am closing that particular chapter in my life. Although what happened might have been unpleasant, as it involves a relationship turned sour, there were lessons learned. To Bea I say, I have no rancor in my heart. I wish her all the best in her career. God bless!

“Ferdie Topacio”.
