NU kampeon sa UAAP men’s volleyball tourney
NASUNGKIT ng National University ang kampeonato ng UAAP men’s volleyball tournament sa ikalawang sunod na taon matapos walisin ang Ateneo de Manila University sa kanilang Season 76 finals duel.
Nakopo ng Bulldogs ang titulo matapos itala ang 25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 27-25 pagwawagi sa Game 2 kahapon sa larong ginanap sa Smart Araneta Coliseum sa Cubao, Quezon City.
Samantala, tinanghal naman si Marck Jesus Espejo bilang kauna-unahang rookie-Most Valuable Player sa kasaysayan ng UAAP men’s volleyball.
Ang batang spiker ng Ateneo ay nakopo ang nasabing parangal sa kanyang napakahusay na debut season, na pinaganda pa ng pagpasok ng Blue Eagles sa finals.
Nauwi naman ni Mark Gil Alfafara ng University of Santo Tomas ang mga parangal bilang best scorer, best server at best attacker.
Nahirang na best blocker si Julius Evan Raymundo ng University of the Philippines habang si Rence Melgar ng Adamson University ang napiling best digger.
