KINANSELA ng Land Transportation Franchise and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang prangkisa ng Don Mariano Transit Corp. kahapon, makaraang ang isang buwan na imbestigasyon sa madugong aksidente kung saan isa sa kanilang mga bus ang nahulog mula sa Skyway noong Disyembre 16.
Ayon kay LTFRB chair Winston Ginez, ipinawalang-bisa na ang pitong “certificates of public convenience” ng Don Mariano na sumasakop sa 78 bus.
Sinimulan ang imbestigasyon ilang araw makaraang mahulog ang bus sa Skyway at lumanding sa van. Umabot sa 21 katao ang nasawi at 24 ang nasugatan sa insidente. Bunsod ng insidente ay sinuspinde ang pagbibiyahe ng kumpanya.
Ang desisyon, ani Ginez, ay ibinase rin sa “safety track record” ng kumpanya. Isa sa mga paglabag ng Don Mariano na nadiskubre ay ang ilegal na paggamit o pagpapalit ng chassis ng mga unit nito nang hindi ipinapaalam sa LTFRB.
“With all the evidence submitted and gathered, there is no doubt that respondent Don Mariano has repeatedly failed to comply with the terms and conditions of the certificates of public convenience granted to it,” ani Ginez.
Iaapela naman ng kumpanya ang desisyon.
