Utol ni Pacman iniluklok ng barya

GENERAL SANTOS CITY —Dahil sa toss coin ay itinalaga bilang pangulo ng Association of Barangay Captains sa siyudad ang kapatid ni boxing champion at Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao.

Sa kanyang pagwawagi bilang ABC president, uupo rin si Rogelio Pacquiao bilang konsehal ng General Santos City. Nang isagawa ang halalan sa kung sino ang mamumuno sa 26 barangay chairmen ng siyudad ay nag-tie sa dami ng boto sina Rogelio at Lourdes Casabuena ng Barangay City Heights.

Upang mabasag ang tie ay nagdesisyon ang mga opisyal ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at Commission of Elections (Comelec) na magsagawa ng toss coin.

Samantala, isiniwalat ni Casbuena na natalo siya dahil tinraydor siya. Hirit niya, ang partido kung saan siya kaalyado, ang Achievers with Integrity Movement, ay nagwagi ng 14 sa 26 sa pagka-chairman noong nakaraang halalan.

Base sa bilang na ito, ani Casabuena, maliwanag na mas marami ang kanyang boto kesa kay Rogelio na mayroon lamang 12.
“All of the 14 barangay captains made a commitment to toss me up.

But, unfortunately, one of them reneged on his promise,” ayon kay Casabuena. Naniniwala siya na maaring inilaglag siya ng nasabing kaalyado dahil sa pera.

“My colleagues received text messages asking them to dump me in exchange for P200,000 cash,” aniya.
