NAMATAY sa car crash ang American actor na si Paul Walker, ng seryeng “The Fast and the Furious” sa edad na 40.
Ayon sa ulat, sumalpok ang sinasakyang Porche Boxster pagkatapos dumalo sa charity event para sa mga biktima ni Yolanda sa Central Visayas.
“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide,” anang mga kaibigan ni Walker sa online, gamit ang Twitter at Facebook account ni Walker.
“He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives.” Ayon kay Ame Van Iden, ang publicist ni Walker, naganap ang aksidente noong Sabado (Linggo sa Pilipinas) sa Los Angeles.
Sumalpok ang sports car sa poste at puno sa Valencia saka sumabog at nasunog, ayon sa Los Angeles County Sheriff department.
Ayon sa TMZ, ang entertainment website na unang nagbalita ng aksidente, pasahero si Walker at nawalan ng kontrol sa manibela ang di kilalang driver.
Una rito, hiniling ni Walker sa kapwa mga artista na tulungan ang mga binagyo sa Pilipinas.
