Nadia Montenegro ‘not guilty’, nagpaliwanag bakit nag-resign

IPINALIWANAG ng dating aktres na si Nadia Montenegro ang dahilan sa likod ng kanyang desisyon na magbitiw bilang political officer ni Sen. Robin Padilla.

Sa kanyang isinumiteng written explanation, sinagot niya ang incident report na isinumite ng Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms o OSAA kung saan may nagsumbong na amoy marijuana ang banyo malapit sa extension office ng mga senador.

Ayon sa incident report ay tanging si Nadia lamang ang nasa lugar na ‘yon na mariing itinanggi ng dating aktres.

Binigyang diin niya na Persons with Disability o PWD restroom ang kanyang ginamit at hindi ang ladies’ room.

Taliwas rin sa mga ulat, sinabi ni Nadia na wala ring taga-OSAA ang pumunta sa opisina nila na nakita siyang nasa banyo at tinanong tungkol sa marijuana.

“It was likewise suspecting that the alleged ‘male’ staff of Senator Lacson would say that I was the only one in the ladies’ comfort room when he should have no personal knowledge of that unless he entered and used the ladies’ comfort room at that time,” dagdag pa ng dating aktres.

Ayon rin sa CCTV footage ng Senado, makikitang pinakita at pinaamoy pa ni Nadia ang kanyang vape sa Senate security.

At dahil na rin daw sa pamba-bash na natatanggap niya at ng kanyang pamilya dahil sa isyu ay nagdesisyon siyang mag-resign.

“Thus, even with a heavy heart but for the sake of my mental health and the welfare of my children, I decided to tender my resignation from my position in Senator Padilla’s office effective immediately,” sey ni Nadia.

Pagpapatuloy niya, “My decision to resign should not be misconstrued as an admission of guilt— it is not. Rather, it is a demonstration of my deep respect for the Senate and Sen. Padilla’s office, so that this issue does not cause further distraction or harm.
