Korean singer Choi Wheesung natagpuang patay sa loob ng apartment

SUNUD-SUNOD ang naitatalang pagkamatay ng mga kilalang K-drama stars at K-Pop singer sa South Korea.
Kahapon, March 10, nabalitang pumanaw na ang South Korean R&B singer na si Choi Wheesung. Siya ay 43.
Mismong ang kanyang talent agency na Tajoy Entertainment ang nagkumpirma sa malungkot na balita.
Base sa official statement ng Tajoy Entertainment, natagpuang wala nang buhay si Wheesung sa tinutuluyan nitong apartment sa Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, alas- 6:29 ng hapon.
Isang kapamilya ng Korean singer ang nag-report sa mga otoridad ng pangyayari. Natagpuan ng mga rumespondeng pulis ang katawan ni Wheesung na nakahandusay sa loob ng kanyang bahay.
Sa inisyal na imbestigasyon, cardiact arrest ang naging sanhi ng pagkamatay ng Korean artist. Pero iniimbestigahan din umano ng otoridad ang anggulong “drug overdose.”
Narito ang opisyal na pahayag ng talent agency ni Wheesung base sa lumabas na report ng Soompi.com.
“We are deeply sorry to share such heartbreaking and tragic news.
“On March 10, our beloved artist Wheesung passed away. He was found in a state of cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
“The sudden loss has left his family, fellow artists at Tajoy Entertainment, and our entire staff in profound grief.
“It pains us deeply to deliver this devastating news to the fans who have always supported and loved Wheesung. We ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers so that he may rest peacefully.
“Details regarding funeral arrangements will be announced separately.
“During this difficult time, we sincerely ask for restraint from unverified rumors or speculative reports out of respect for his bereaved family.
“Once again, we extend our deepest condolences as we bid a final farewell to Wheesung.”
Nagluluksa ngayon ang mga fans ni Wheesung na nakatakda pa sanang mag-concert sa March 15 kasama ang kapwa soloist na si KCM.
Ilan sa mga pinasikat niyang kanya ay ang “Is It Not Possible?,” “With Me,” “The Day We Meet Again,” “Terminal Illness,” at “In A Year.”
Kung matatandaan, napaulat noon ang paggamit umano ng singer ng psychotropic drug propofol, isang medical anaesthetic na karaniwang ginagamit sa cosmetic procedures.
Ang propofol ay isang klase ng drugs na kapag nasobrahan sa paggamit ay maaaring makamatay, tulad ng nangyari sa international music icon na si Michael Jackson noong 2009.
Taong 2011 hanggang 2013, nasangkot si Wheesung sa paggamit ng propofol na ginamit niya habang nasa mandatory military service. Inamin naman niya ito at sinabing ito ang ginamit niyang gamot sa kanyang herniated disk at hair loss.
July, 2013, pinawalang-sala si Wheesung. Pero noong 2021, nahatulan siya siyang guilty sa paggamit ng illegal drugs na may parusang isang taong pagkakakulong.
