SINAMPAHAN ang magkapatid na Tulfo na sina Erwin Tulfo at Ben Tulfo ng disqualification case kaugnay sa 2025 National and Local Elections.
Ito ay ayon sa Commission on Elections o Comelec.
Ayon kay Comelec chair George Garcia nitong Lunes, February 18, bukod sa Tulfo brothers ay kasama rin sa sinampahan ng reklamo para sa diskwalipikasyon sina ACT-CIS Rep. Jocelyn Pua-Tulfo na asawa ni Sen. Raffy Tulfo, anak nilang si Quezon City 2nd District Rep. Ralph Wendel Tulfo at kapatid nilang si Turismo party-list nominee Wanda Tulfo-Teo.
Ang naturang disqualification case ay inihain ng abogadong si Virgilio Garcia at iginiit sa petisyon ang usaping “political dynasty”.

“Respondents are all related to incumbent Senator Rafael Teshiba Tulfo (a.k.a. Raffy Tulfo) within the first or second civil degree of consanguinity or of affinity.
“Respondents Cong. Erwin, Ben and Wanda Tulfo – Teo are younger siblings of Senator Raffy Tulfo. Respondent Cong. Jocelyn Pua – Tulfo is the wife of Senator Raffy, while respondent Cong. Ralph is their son,” nakasaad sa naturang petisyon.
“The 1987 Constitution prohibits this anomalous monopolistic concentration of political power in one family, such that Article II, Section 26 provides ‘The State shall guarantee equal access to opportunities for public service and prohibit political dynasties as may be defined by law’.”
Nabanggit rin sa petisyon ang citizenship issue ni Erwin.
Ang naturang petisyon ay naglalayon na pigilan ang mga Tulfo na tumakbo sa nalalapit na halalan sa May 12, 2025.
Sina Erwin at Ben ay tatakbo sa pagkasendor haban susubok namang magkaroon ulit nn puwesto sa House of Representatives na sina Jocelyn, Ralph, at Wanda.
Samantala, nagbigay naman ng saloobin si Sen. Raffy Tulfo tungkol sa ibinabatong paratang ng political dynasty.
Sa latest episode ng “Morning Matters with Gretchen Ho” sa One PH nitong Martes, February 18, sinabi niyang ipauubaya na lang niya sa tao ang desisyon.
Sey ni Sen. Tulfo, “I’ll leave it up to the people. Kasi kung gusto ka ng tao, iboboto ka nila. Kung ayaw ka nila, maiisip nila ay dynasty ito. Ang dami naman, walang ginagawa.”
Dagdag pa niya, “Kung ayaw n’yo mga kapatid ko, please don’t vote for them. Pero kung gusto n’yo sila dahil sa tingin n’yo makakapagsilbi sila nang maayos, then go ahead. Kayo na ang mag-decide.”
