“I don’t think anybody in the cast prepared more than my mother. My mom played my mom in the film!” masaya niyang chika at sabay pinaakyat sa stage ang ina upang ipakilala sa amin.

“She was preparing for a month. May slipped disc kasi ‘yang babae na ‘yan eh, so kailangang magyabang. My mother’s a zombie? Go! That’s why no one else prepared than she did,” aniya pa.

Paliwanag ng direktor, “Whenever their last memory was before they were bitten was the last words they say, so with Francis’ mom it’s ‘sorry’ because she bit her husband, with the guard and soldier in the bridge it was ‘pass please’ because ‘di ba asking for a pass…because I also want the audience to feel na parang in many ways, there’s some humanity in the dead ones in the movies.”

“I don’t want them to be just mindless monsters, I want everyone in this film to still have emotions,” esplika pa niya.

Para raw kay Direk Carlo, ang “Outside” ay isang pelikula na nagpapaalala sa atin na hindi tayo “perfect,” bagkus mayroon tayong “monster inside of us.”

“I always want to write a film where it chose characters that are not perfect, it chose a family that is unperfect, and it’s really about a core unit of characters just trying to do their best for themselves and trying to survive,” saad niya.

Mensahe pa niya, “I wanted to kind of send the message also that we don’t live in a perfect world, we don’t have perfect families and that’s okay…What I wanted audiences to realize is that it’s okay to take care of yourself first, so that you can be a better parent there on.”
