“LIVE or die, I will only be true to myself.” Ito ang mantra ng kilalang cardiologist at Doktor ng Bayan na si Doc Willie T. Ong na kasalukuyang nakikipaglaban sa sakit na sarcoma cancer.
Naunang inamin ni Doc Willie na nakuha niya ang cancer sa stress dahil sa kababasa niya ng comments ng bashers niya sa Facebook lalo na nu’ng kumandidato siya sa pagka-bise
presidente ng Pilipinas ka-tandem si ex-Mayor Isko Moreno.
“If you pray for me, I think I will get well, but if you keep on bashing me, I think I will die. I think I got all this pain from negative thoughts and negative emotions. From all the hurt, from all the bashing I got from 2022 vice presidential campaign.
“I got so many bashing, I just ran for vice president, what did I do wrong? I did not do anything wrong, I love everyone of you. I’m doing this for the Philippines. Di ba, may kasabihan tayo, ang mamatay nang dahil sa ‘yo? Is the Filipino worth dying for?” pahayag ni Doc Ong.

Inaming maghihintay siya ng dalawa hanggang tatlong buwan para malaman kung mabubuhay siya o tatalunin siya ng kanyang sakit.
“I was having visions of war already and they said I was delirious. They say I was insane! I had many mini mental exams,” sabi pa ng kilalang doktor ng bayan.
Ang payo ni Doc Willie sa may mga sakit na kanser, “This is what you do if you have cancer patient, you have to try and try and get the best doctor and best diagnosis wherever in the world.
“I’m just ashamed you know why? Because I’m lucky to have some money and people supporting me, you know my medicines, how expensive?
“But our countrymen are very poor. They do not have health care they are just dying there from the corruptions of politicians, I’m sorry,” aniya pa.
Tiyak na maraming followers ni Doc Willie sa FB at subscribers sa YouTube ang nagulat sa mga sinabi niyang ito.
Katwiran niya, “Why is my voice like this? Natuyo na, the old Doc Willie Ong is gone, this is the matapang na Doc Willie Ong.
“Pasensiya na po mga politiko masasagasaan ko na po kayo ngayon, anyway, I’m dying, I don’t care anymore, I don’t care, I will tell you the truth.
“Politicians are corrupt in the Philippines! Sorry po ah, kaibigan ko kayong lahat. Nagka-vision ako kagabi, I asked my doctor every night I dream. There’s a black hand trying to attack me, you can say I’m crazy okay lang. I do not have fear anymore!” sabi pa niya.
