Jaclyn Jose binigyang-pugay ng Cannes, inalala ang 'winning moment'

BINIGYANG-PUGAY ng mga bumubuo ng Cannes Film Festival ang yumaong award-winning actress na si Jaclyn Jose.

Nakarating sa pamunuan ng naturang international film festival ang pagpanaw ni Jaclyn na isa sa mga artistang gumawa ng kasaysayan sa taunan nilang filmfest.

Ang nanay ni Andi Eigenmann ang kauna-unahang Filipino at Southeast Asian na nakapag-uwi ng best actress award sa Cannes Film Festival noong 2016.

Sa official Facebook page ng Cannes, ipinost ang kanilang mensahe ngayong araw, March 6, upang bigyang-pugay si Jaclyn sa naging kontribusyon nito sa movie industry.

“Upon learning of the passing of Filipino actress Jaclyn Jose, the Cannes Festival remembers her beaming with emotion as she received the 2016 Acting Award for Ma’Rosa by Brillante Mendoza.

“Like many of her other roles, she illuminated this very beautiful portrait of a woman, embodied her with grace and humanity,” ang nakasaad sa kanilang FB post.


Ipinagbunyi ng Pilipinas at ng iba pang bansa sa Asia ang pagkapanalo si Jaclyn sa Cannes Film Festival para sa kanyang natatanging pagganap sa pelikulang “Ma’ Rosa” mula sa direksyon  ni Brillante Mendoza.

Natalo niya sa labanan ang mga Oscar winners na sina Charlize Theron (para sa The Last Face) at Marion Cotillard (para sa Mal de Pierres).

“I am so surprised. I just went to have the red-carpet walk with my daughter – my real-life daughter (Andi) and my daughter in the movie also,” ang bahagi ng acceptance speech ni Jaclyn.
