Tsinek namin ang FB page at ang caption sa larawang before and after ay, “Empty parking lot = Old Cemetery.
“If it doesn’t exist, build it! Fun and exciting part of production design (tho hard and exhausting lol). Daboys worked hard on this, rain or shine.
“Watch what Johnrey and Jonathan (Piolo Pascual) did here this Dec 25, Mallari!”
Ang caption ni Marielle ay, “Visita – basically smaller than a standard church but bigger than a chapel – were built in the barrios for the Spanish missionaries’ ‘visita system.’ Usually in the barrios far from the main town.
“We had to build one – well… because our old churches have flat screen TVs and expensive chandeliers we dare not touch. Plus, where’s the fun in that?
“This one was a real challenge – for me and daboys. Building it from ground up with 34 men, 18 days on an empty sloping land had me praying and calling all the saints.
“Pero tumayo naman on time, our church is still there, na-shoot naman.
Ang caption ay, “After building the cemetery and the church, building a room would seem like a walk in the park – but nooo, this room had us rolling too because of the scenes shot here. Lol panoorin nyo na lang what happens here on Dec 25, Mallari!”
Eto po sya, malaki na, because we believe in the saying ‘No animals were harmed in the making of this movie.’
“The sisiw is aptly named Mallari at nasa pangangalaga ng ating master carpenter na si Kuya Edwin,” sabi pa.
