Opisyal siyang kinilala bilang “world’s most popular artist” ng Guinness World Records.

“Abel Tesfaye, more commonly known as The Weeknd, is statistically the most popular musician on the planet, and no one else even comes close,” saad sa website.

Bukod diyan ay ibinandera din nito ang dalawang bagong world titles – ang “most monthly listeners on Spotify” na umaani ng 111.4 million at ang “first artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify.”

Unang nakakuha ng world record si The Weeknd noong 2016 na kung saan siya ang hinirang na “most streamed album on Spotify.”
