Mga pelikulang pasok sa ‘Magic 8’ ng MMFF Summer edition

INANUNSYO na ng Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) ang walong pelikula na kalahok sa kauna-unahang “summer edition.”

Ayon sa MMFF organizers, ang pinagbasehan nilang criteria sa kanilang final pick ay ang artistic excellence, commercial appeal, Filipino cultural sensibility, at global appeal.

Ilan lamang sa mga bigating artista na kasali sa darating na MMFF ay Coco Martin, Gerald Anderson, Alex Gonzaga, Carlo Aquino, Bela Padilla, Enchong Dee at marami pang iba.

Narito ang kumpletong listahan ng official entries:

  1. “Apag” by Center Stage Production

               Director: Brillante Mendoza

               Starring: Coco Martin, Lito Lapid, Jaclyn Jose and Gladys Reyes

  1. “Singlebells” by Tincan

              Director: Fifth Solomon

              Starring: Aljur Abrenica, Alex Gonzaga and Angeline Quinto

  1. “About Us but Not about Us” by Octoberian Films, The IdeaFirst Company and Quantum Fims

              Director: Jun Robles Lana

             Starring: Romnick Sarmenta and Elijah Canlas

  1. “Kahit Maputi Na ang Buhok Ko” by Saranggola Media Productions, Inc.

               Director: Joven M. Tan

               Starring: RK Bagatsing and Meg Imperial

  1. “Unravel: A Swiss Side Love Story” by MAVX Productions Inc.

                Director: RC Delos Reyes

                Starring: Gerald Anderson and Kylie Padilla

  1. “Here Comes the Groom” by Quantum Films, Cineko Productions, Brightlight Productions

              Director: Chris Martinez

              Starring: Enchong Dee, Keempee de Leon, Awra Briguela, Xilhouete, Maris Racal and       KaladKaren

              Starring: Bela Padilla and Yoo Min-Gon

  1. “Love You Long Time” by Studio Three Sixty Inc.

              Director: JP Habac

              Starring: Carlo Aquino and Eisel Serrano

Kung maaalala, umabot sa 33 ang mga pelikulang nagpasa para sa film festival.

Mahigit dalawampu ay mga bagong entries, habang nasa sampu naman ang umulit ng kanilang pinasa.

Ang “Parade of Stars” o parada ng mga bituin ay magaganap sa April 1.

Mapapanood naman ang “official entries” sa mga lokal na sinehan simula April 8 hanggang 18.

Ang Awards Night naman nito ay magaganap sa April 11.
