Erik Santos ilang bases nadapa, umiyak, nag-breakdown: ‘After everything, you are still standing strong, surviving… fighting’

GRIEVING pa rin ang pamilya ni Erik Santos sa pagkawala ng kanilang Ilaw ng Tahanan na si Gng. Angelita Santos.
Ngunit kahit wala na ito sa piling nila ay maayos namang naipagdiwang ng pamilya nina Erik ang Pasko at Bagong Taon nang magkakasama.
Ang caption ng singer sa larawang ipinost niya sa social media kung saan magkakasama nga ang kanilang buong pamilya, “Welcoming 2023 with lots of hope and a grateful heart. Happy New Year!”
Unang araw ng 2023 ay nag-post ang mang-aawit ng larawan niyang nakasakay sa eroplano at nakatanaw sa pagsikat ng araw at inalala ang mga pinagdaanan noong 2022.

“2022 was really a hard year for you. You have faced so many challenges. Breakdowns after breakdowns.
“Dealt with lots of frustrations, disappointments, anguish and deep sadness. Cried the most painful tears and fought so many silent battles. After everything, you are still standing strong, surviving… fighting.
“Most of all, you always choose to remain grateful.
“I pray 2023 will be easier for you.
“Love, Ten Ten.”
Samantala, nagbalik-tanaw din si Erik o Ten Ten kung paano siya nagsimula sa industriya by posting video na kinakanta niya ang awiting “This is the Moment” na nagpanalo sa kanya bilang unang grand champion sa reality talent show na “Star in a Million” season 1 noong 2003.
“Exactly 20 years ago today, a certain hopeful tried his luck in this prestigious singing competition, his family supported him, his friends cheered him on, he listened to his mentors, sang his heart out, like it was his last.
“The crowd grew fond of him and judges started to appreciate him. Sadly, after all the hard work he did not make it to the end.
“But destiny was kind to him. After several sleepless nights of frustration, he got a call back and was requested to compete again in the competition as the wild card.
“He gave his best and tried to perfect his chosen songs, belted each masterpiece to the best of his ability. It was the toughest competition he had ever experienced as the competitors were all masters in their own right.
“In his last and final song for the people he sang the song that would ultimately be his most memorable, “This Is The Moment!” lahad ni Erik.

“In the final moment there was two of them. He prayed and left everything to God at that moment. The cheers were thunderous. The lights were blinding. It was a blur then the name of the winner was announced…
“Today marks my 20th year as a Star In A Million baby, ABS-CBN’s first ever reality singing competition that paved the way for my singing career.
“It has been an awesome and enjoyable journey for me and I always thank God for letting me share this wonderful gift of music with the world. I am extremely grateful to all the people who have been part of this amazing experience,” mensahe pa niya.
Hindi naman nakalimot si Erik na pasalamatan ang lahat ng taong tumulong at tumutulong pa rin sa kanya kaya nanatili pa rin siyang nasa tuktok ng kanyang singing career 20 years na ang nakararaan.

At sa nanay niyang hindi na niya kapiling ngayon physically, “Mommy, thank you! (heart emoji).
