WALANG problema sa Kapamilya leading man na si Jameson Blake kung gumawa siya ng mga daring at sexy roles sa kanyang next projects.
Muling pinatunayan ng binata ang kanyang versatility as an actor sa hit ABS-CBN drama series na “A Family Affair” at talagang nakipagsabayan siya ng akting kina Gerald Anderson, Sam Milby, Jake Ejercito at Ivana Alawi.
Kino-consider ni Jameson na isa sa biggest achievement niya sa showbiz ang pagkakasali niya sa nasabing Kapamilya series na napapanood na rin ngayon sa Netflix.
Sa isang interview, natanong ang aktor kung ano ang reaksyon niya sa sinasabi ng marami na, “Jameson is the next ABS-CBN leading man?”
“Well, hindi naman siya fully nag-sink in. I guess, it’s motivating to hear for me kasi I’ve been here for seven years and you know I am also aiming higher.
“I want to see what more I can do so that’s on my mind naman,” pahayag ni Jameson sa panayam ng CinemaNews.
Ipinagdiinan ng binata na never siyang naging choosy sa trabaho, “Unang-una, I would see how the story is. In terms of non-negotiables, I never give it a thought kasi I do prioritize how I understand the story, how I like it, how it is going to relate to me and if I believe I could pull it off playing my character that is daring or really challenging for me.
“Pero surprise me, I just would like to see what they offer me. Pero, yun ‘yung tinitingnan ko ‘yung story talaga and if I can believe that I can pull off the character and play it well then why not?” paliwanag pa niya.
Bukod dito, natanong nga siya kung payag ba siyang gumawa ng mga sexy roles, “Well, I mean started of with ‘2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten’, so medyo daring na agad ang character ko doon.
“Then people saw me playing roles na mas light, mas rom-com, and then after a while I do something a bit daring.
“So I think I am pretty much doing it so I am not sure what is the box that people think of me. If they think of me like, do they think of me na mas versatile or they think me like the boy next door or the guy does the actor challenging roles.
“I think I just want to be everything, like I want to explore. I want to be versatile with what I can do.
“I am just happy that people in production give me these opportunities and that they trust me that I can play these roles that they offer to me and that’s the very good sign para sa akin,” chika ni Jameson.
Samantala, kapag nabigyan ng pagkakataon, pangarap din ng binata ang magkaroon ng international career tulad din ng halos lahat ng artista.
“I strongly consider it also. I mean growing up, English isn’t my first language and I think it’s also a good path for me. I mean, I don’t think there’s anything wrong for aiming for that, so I would be happy if I got the chance to work overseas and work with, you know.
“It doesn’t have to be like Hollywood. I can always start somewhere pero like international. Yeah, would love to do that someday so tingnan natin,” aniya pa.
