MAY paraan si Dimples Romana para labanan ang kanyang postpartum depression.
Ito ay sa pamamagitan ng agad-agad na pagtatrabaho. Just a few months after giving birth to her son Elio, sumabak na agad si Dimples sa trabaho bilang isang fighter sa “The Iron Heart”.
“I battle very bad postpartum depression. It is also the reason why kapag nanganganak ako you see me working right away. That’s how I battle postpartum,” say ni Dimples.
“I have it really bad like I wake up in the morning and feel sad right away. Makaka-relate sa akin ang mga moms out there who don’t necessarily want to talk about it,” dagdag pa niya.
So, para maiwasang ma-depress siya matapos manganak, agad-agad na nagwo-work ang aktres. Ito ang ginawa niyang pattern sa dalawa pang naunang anak niya.
“So, I want to get back to work right away but of course with care kasi nga cesarean ako. So, I did Pilates first. Now, I’m doing Muay Thai and recently I’ve been doing tennis,” says Dimples.
“I think it is very, very apt for me to do this after giving birth kasi nakaka-pressure pala kapag mom of three ka na.
“Meron na siyang feeling na, ‘oh my God, what can I offer next?’ Not just as a woman but also as an actor kasi I’ve been acting for 25 years,” dagdag niya.
Aware si Dimples na nagmarka ang dalawang previous roles niya bilang si, Daniela Mondragon sa “Kadenang Ginto” at Babaylan sa “Bagani”, both from Sta4r Creatives.
“I was scared as you don’t know where to go after that. But when you got an offer as good as Celine who is a fighter, it empowers me as a woman. Makikita mo na may fighting scenes din ako,” chika niya.
“The Iron Heart” which is scheduled to premiere on November 14 stars Richard Gutierrez with Jake Cuenca, Albert Martinez, Diether Ocampo, Maja Salvador, Pepe Herrera, Baron Geisler, Sue Ramirez and Enzo Pineda.
