“How do you know you’re healing?
“When the things sent to you to disturb your inner peace, such as certain people or situations, don’t trigger you as much as they used to.
“When you can catch yourself before you even get triggered.
“When you are so connected to your soul that no matter how many times people tell you, ‘Ma’am Maxene, tumaba ka po,’ you remain unbothered because you know you are more than your physical body.
“When you start seeing fellow humans as souls who are just like you so you choose not to judge them and to just let them be. When you understand that you can’t control others—you can only control yourself.
“When you find yourself responding with kindness rather than reacting with bitterness. When you can actually speak up and stand up for yourself as you politely set healthy boundaries without feeling guilty.
“When you are at peace exactly where you are, in this present moment. When you can just lift everything to God and surrender to His divine plan.
“That’s how you know,” paglalahad ni Maxene.
“Keep yourself in check and never get ahead of yourself. Healing is a long and messy yet incredibly rewarding journey. You just have to be patient and compassionate with yourself.
“Keep going. Healing looks beautiful on you,” aniya pa.
