Ian Veneracion ikinumpara kina Liam Neeson at Keannu Reeves, kering-keri pa ring makipagbakbakan

BASE sa trailer ng “One Good Day” series na ipinapanood sa miyembro ng entertainment media at vloggers sa mediacon nitong Biyernes ng gabi ay bilib lahat sa action at barilan scenes ni Ian Veneracion considering na 47 years old na siya.
Sabi ng aktor, “Yes kaya pa, kaya pa (mag-action) believe it or not. Minsan nga nakakalimutan ko na ang edad ko.”
Ayon sa aktor, ang ilan sa mga dangerous stunts na ginawa niya sa series ay ang kanyang motorcycle ride, sinagasaan ng kotse at marami pang iba.
“For safety kumuha kami ng stunt double, then he saw the (scene), sabi niya (Ian), I can do better than that,” natatawang kuwento ng direktor ng serye na si Lester Pimentel Ong.
Naikuwento rin ng producer st director ng “One Good Day” (under Studio Three Sixty) na kaya si Ian ang napili nilang bida ay dahil athlete rin ang aktor (bagay sa maseselang action scenes) at talagang mahusay na artista.

Ito ang handog ni Ian sa kanyang supporters para sa 40th anniversary niya sa showbiz.
“Proud ako sa maipapakita naming talent ng mga Pinoy sa filmmaking. Ang taas ng quality ng shots, sound, pati na execution ng story fight scenes,” say ng aktor.
Sa mga Hollywood actors na gumagawa ng hard action ay nabanggit na mala-Liam Neeson ang action scenes niya sa serye. Reaksyon ni Ian, “Mas bata naman ako! Ha-hahaha!”
Oo naman, 70 years old na si Liam na nakilala sa pelikulang “Taken.”
Banggit ni Ian, “Actually mala-John Wick (starring Keanu Reeves) din saka nga si Liam.”
Hindi rin daw nanibago si Ian sa mga stunts niya dahil regular naman siyang nag-e-exercise, plus martial arts, basketball, soccer, badminton, paragliding at iba pa. Kaya nga raw lagi siyang pinapaalalahan ng mga anak niya na hindi na siya 25 years old.
“Actually, we wanted to level up the quality of action film, action series here in the Philippines, so, we wanted to catch up among our savor neighbors because for us the only way we can grow or we can survive as industry is to attract more viewers in our film or series,” paliwanag ni direk Lester.
Masaya ring ibinalita ng direktor na mapapanood ang “One Good Day” sa mga bansang Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Taiwan at siyempre ang Pilipinas exclusive sa Prime Video Ph simula sa Nobyembre 17.
Samantala, natanong si Ian kung ano ang stand niya sa planong i-ban ang Korean drama series sa Pilipinas para mas mabigyan ng pagkakataon ang local films at series ng bansa.
“If I have a basketball team and losing to another team, I think I will tell my team to, ‘we need to practice, we need to win this game.’ Instead of banning the other team,” punto ng aktor.
Nabanggit pa niya na magaling ang mga Pinoy sa paggawa ng pelikula dahil sa maliit na budget ay napapaganda nila ang isang project, e, di mas lalong maraming magagawa kung mabibigyan ang filmmakers at producers ng budget na tulad ng Hollywood project.
“My personal opinion, sana support us na lang (mga artista at producers). With government support, it may help the industry and also our viewers to continue watching our movies because noong may ipalalabas na action movies sina Daboy (Rudy Fernandez), FPJ (Fernando Poe, Jr) ay umiiwas ang foreign movies.
“But now, it’s not the case anymore, tayo na ‘yung umiiwas sa action movies na makakasabay natin ipalabas, so, with the support of our government, support from the viewers, mabubuhay (sisigla) ang movie industry natin,” pahayag ni Ian.
Sa six-part series ng “One Good Day” ay kabilang din sa cast sina Nicole Cordoves, Pepe Herrera, Robert Seña, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Rabiya Mateo, Andrea Torres, Aljur Abrenica, Justin Cuyugan at iba pa.
