HINDI naniniwala sina Binibining Pilipinas International 2022 Nicole Borromeo at Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Gabrielle “Gabby” Basiano na nagkaroon ng “dayaan” o “switching” sa naganap na grand coronation night ng pageant last Sunday.
Ayon sa dalawang beauty queen, walang naganap na “mix-up” o palitan ng korona at titulo matapos ang controversial delay sa announcement ng nanalong Bb. Pilipinas International 2022.
“I‘ve seen the posts on social media just recently, like earlier today. I trust the Binibining Pilipinas organization. They wouldn’t put the girls in this kind of situation. They would be sure to clear things out,” ang pahayag ni Nicole sa panayam ng ABS-CBN.
Inamin din niya na talagang matinding nerbiyos ang naramdaman niya nang biglang bitinin ng mga hosts ng pageant na sina Catriona Gray at Nicole Cordoves ang final result.

“I’m not going to pretend, it really got on my nerves. I was really hoping for the best and I’m really happy how it turned out,” sey ni Miss Cebu City na siya ngang kinoronahang Bb. Pilipinas International.
Sey naman ni Gabrielle Basiano, “It was already explained. Nagkaroon lang ng hindi pagkakaunawaan.”
“I would like to tell everybody, also those part of the competition, nagkaroon lang ng confusion and ’yung mga titles correct.
“Si Nicole po talaga ang Miss International and I am Miss Intercontinental,” paglilinaw pa niya.
Pareho namang nagpasalamat sina Nicole at Gabrielle kay Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa sa mensaheng ibinahagi nito para sa kanila at sa iba pang mga Binibini. Nabanggit nga ni Gabrielle na personal siyang tinulungan ni Kylie para sa question and answer challenge ng pageant.
Ang iba pang itinanghal na winner ay sina Bb. Pilipinas Globe Chelsea Fernandez, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Roberta Tamondong at ang mga Binibini runners-up na sina Herlene Budol at Stacey Gabriel.
