Gabriela, Kabataan Party-list umalma sa pagkukumpara ni Ella Cruz ng history sa tsismis
HANGGANG ngayon ay hindi pa rin humuhupa ang pangangaral sa aktres na si Ella Cruz sa ginawa niyang pagkukumpara ng history sa tsismis.
Hindi lang mga netizens ang napataas ng kilay sa sinabi ng aktres dahil pati mga celebrities, historians, at maging mga miyembro ng party-list ay naglabas ng pahayag ukol sa isyu.
“Ella Cruz, kagalang-galang at mahirap ang ginagawa ng historians. Hindi sila nakikipag-tsismisan o nagme-memorize lang ng dates,” saad ng Kabataan party-list Rep. Raoul Manuel sa kaniyang tweet noong Sabado, July 2.
“Sana may oras ka para makausap ng kapwa Kabataan re: PH history. You are on the wrong side of history if you act as an apparatus to distort it,” dagdag pa niya.
Maging ang Gabriela party-list ay nagpaabot na rin ng mensahe para kay Ella.
Labis na ikinalulungkot ng Gabriela naging pahayag ng aktres ukol sa kasaysayan gayong kapangalan niya ang isa sa mga rebolusyunaryong Pilipinang si Gabriela Silang.

“It is unfortunate that Gabriela Annjane “Ella” Cruz has likened history to “tsismis” or gossip, despite her being a namesake of the Filipina revolutionary Gabriela Silang. While the choice of playing the role of Irene Marcos in a historical revionism film project was hers, we need to call out the further trivialization of history by such statements,” sey ng Gabriela.
Anila, umaasa pa rin silang mapagtanto ng aktres na ang kasaysayan ay batay sa katotohanan at hindi dapat ilarawan bilang “tsismis”.
“We do hope Ms. Ella Cruz realizes that history remains grounded on facts, and that historical denialism has dangerously enabled the continued reign of plunderers in our country.
Likewise, we urge critics of Ms. Ella Cruz to devote more time in bringing to the fore the inconvenient historical truths which the Marcos family wants completely obliterated instead of leveraging personal attacks against the actress,” dagdag pa ng Gabriela.
