HINDI totoo ang tsikang papalitan na si Ms. Liza Dino bilang Chairperson at CEO ng Film Development Council of the Philippines o FDCP dahil muli siyang nare-appoint for another three years.

I mean, ayokong magsabi ng tapos, pero it’s a challenge, you know, ‘yung balancing between family and the work.”

“I was receiving a lot of like, ‘congratulations, we’re so happy na magko-continue ka,’ so it’s so humbling na parang ‘oh wow, na-appreciate pala ‘yung mga ginagawa ng ahensiya,’” masayang sabi ni Ms. Liza.

Ngayong buwan ng Hunyo ay ipinagdiriwang din ng FDCP ang Pride Month with “PeliKULAYa: International LGBTQIA+ Film Festival in a hybrid format mula June 10 hanggang 26. May temang “Pantay-Pantay, Iba’t Ibang Kulay.”

Kasabay din ng 20th anniversary ng FDCP, “a total of 50 local and international films co-presented by partner embassies and organizations will be screened online and onsite as part of this year’s festival line-up.”

“This year, as we continue to fight for the freedom and rights of the LGBTQIA+ community, we also celebrate the achievements and support the causes of the members of the community this June.

“We, at the FDCP are offering an eventful month through PeliKULAYa with a month-long line up of film screenings and events to celebrate this significant month. Happy Pride Month from team FDCP,” ani Liza.

Amg ilan sa mga pelikulang lokal ang tampok sa Pelikulaya 2022 ay ang Manila by Night (Ishmael Bernal), Ang Tatay Kong Nanay (Lino Brocka), Esoterika: Maynila (Elwood Perez), Markova: Comfort Gay (Gil Portes), at Big Night! (Jun Robles Lana).
