Gwendolyne Fourniol kasama sina Tracy Perez at Evangeline Pascual
MUKHANG aprub naman sa mga Filipino pageant fans ang pagkapanalo ni Gwendolyne Fourniol ng Negros Occidental bilang Miss World Philippines 2022.
Si Gwendolyne ang papalit sa trono ni Tracy Maureen Perez at siyang magiging bet ng Pilipinas sa inaabangang Miss World 2022.
Sa ginanap na grand coronation kagabi sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City, na inabot ng halos limang oras, halos maiyak si Gwendolyne nang tawagin siya bilang bagong Miss World Philippines winner.

Ayon sa mga nakapanood ng pageant, may karapatan naman daw manalo ang dalaga dahil sa ipinakita niyang talino sa final round ng question and answer segment.
Ang tanong: How do we cope with an education deficit accumulated due to the pandemic?
Sagot ng dalaga, “As an advocate of education, I do agree that during the pandemic, we have suffered the most but the children who have the lack of access to education have suffered the greatest and working hand in hand with ERDA Foundation who empowered the marginalized Filipinos, I believe by uniting benefactors and encouraging our children and allowing them to go back to school especially during this pandemic will make this world a better place because education is the greatest weapon against poverty.”
Ito naman ang unang question kay Gwendolyne, “Your mother actually chose to leave the Philippines for a life in France but you did the opposite. You left France for life here in the Philippines. How has this paradox of life shaped your BWAP project with ERDA Foundation?”
Tugon ng beauty queen, “I moved to the Philippines at the age of 18. I was all alone but my mother is my strength. Growing up in Europe, I was very open-minded. Moving to the Philippines, I could see the generous hearts of the Filipinos and I told myself this is my home and I want to stay here.
“That is why I dedicated my life to helping ERDA Foundation. I am pretty sure we have around 30 volunteers from ERDA Foundation in the audience. I am so happy that you guys are here today because I am doing this for you. You are my strength. Education is a right and not a privilege,” sabi pa ni Miss Negros Occidental.
