Beatrice Gomez ginawaran ng Military Merit Medal ng Philippine Navy; tuloy ang pagwagayway sa bandera ng LGBTQ
PROUD na ibinandera ng Pinay beauty queen na si Beatrice Gomez ang mga bagong achievement niya bilang isang miyembro ng Armed Forces of the Philippines-Philippine Navy Reserve Unit.
Sa kanyang Instagram page, ipinost ni Miss Universe Philippines 2021 ang mga natanggap na parangal mula sa Philippine Navy kabilang na ang ibinigay sa kanyang Military Merit Medal.
Bukod sa MMM, masaya ring ibinalita rin ng beauty queen na isa na rin siyang Honorary Member of Friends of Marines.
Base sa mga pictures na ibinahagi ni Beatrice sa kanyang IG followers, ginanap ang seremonya sa Philippine Marine Corps headquarters sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.
“It always feel like home. I am honored to be welcomed into a new family as an Honorary Member of Friends of Marines (FOM). I am truly honored as well to be awarded with the Military Merit Medal,” ang caption na inilagay ni Bea sa kanyang IG post.
The Military Merit Medal is awarded “…for heroic achievement in combat or meritorious achievement for service not involving participation in combat, in connection with military operations against an enemy of the Philippines; for a single act of meritorious service either in a duty responsibility or in direct support of military operations.”

Bilang sergeant ng Philippine Navy Reserve Unit, si Beatrice ay matagal nang collaborator at supporter ng AFP, lalo na pagdating sa relief and rescue operations ng pamahalaan kapag may mga sakuna at kalamidad.
Noong kasagsagan ng relief mission para sa Typhoon Odette, tumulong si Beatrice sa relief mission ng Naval Reserve Center of Eastern Visayas para sa mga stranded passengers sa mga pantalan.
Personal din siyang nag-abot ng tulong sa mga residente ng Mantayog, Mandaue atbsa Compostela, Cebu.
Kamakailan, nakilahok din si Bea sa International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, o IDAHOBIT 2022 bilang proud member ng LGBTQIA+ community.
Dahil dito, nagkaroon siya ng, “deeper understanding of what allyship entails, and to embrace our personal contributions into creating a safer and more equal world that celebrates the diversity of each person’s unique sexuality and gender identity.”
