KNOWS n’yo ba na may malalim palang hugot ang kulay at disensyo ng isinuot na evening gown ni Celeste Cortesi sa grand coronation night ng Miss Universe Philippines 2022?
Ayon sa Pinay beauty queen na siyang magiging representative ng Pilipinas sa gaganaping Miss Universe 2022, pa-tribute niya ang kanyang blue gown sa kanyang Italian father.
Nag-post sa Instagram si Celeste nitong nagdaang weekend ng kanyang litrato na kuha sa finals night ng Miss Universe Philippines at dito nga in-explain ng Filipina-Italian beauty queen ang kulay ng suot niyang evening gown.
Kasabay nito, naibahagi rin ni Celeste ang kuwento sa likod ng kanyang pangalan na mismong ang tatay niya ang nagbigay.
“‘Celeste’ in Italian means heavenly, sky blue. After I was born, while he was holding me in his arms, he looked at the sky then immediately knew my name would be Celeste,” ang bahagi ng caption ng dalaga sa kanyang IG photo.
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “Celeste is the color I wanted to wear on the final night, in honor of my dad. In every step on that stage I would feel his presence right beside me, my guardian angel.”

At natupad naman daw ang kanyang pangarap nu’ng gabing yun kaya pinasalamatan din niya ang designer ng kanyang gown na si Val Taguba.
Samantala, abot-langit din ang papuri at pasasalamat ni Celeste sa kanyang ina na palaging nakasuporta sa lahat ng kanyang ginagawa para maisakatuparan ang kanyang mga pangarap.
“My mother is the most important person in my life. I’ve been away from her almost three years, and being able to connect to her is very important to me,” ani Celeste sa isang panayam patungkol sa inang si Maria Luisa Rabimbi na isang Bicolana.
“This coming weekend (last Sunday) is Mother’s Day, and I can be just grateful for everything she’s done for me. She’s been so supportive during this journey for Miss Universe Philippines that I can just only say thank you to her.
“She’s been doing many sacrifices for me, my sister, and my whole family in the past. Now, I just kind of want to give back to her in the best way I can.
“That’s why when they ask me my final question during the coronation night, the first thing I thought was really my mother, ‘cause she’s really the most important.
“And whatever I do, every single action I do, especially here in the Philippines, I really do it for her. So, I can just be grateful for having her in my life,” pahayag pa ni Celeste Cortesi.
