KINORONAHAN bilang Miss Universe Philippines 2021 ang pambato ng Cebu City na si Beatrice Luigi Gomez ngayong gabi sa Panglao, Bohol.

Kinabog ng 26-year-old Cebuana beauty queen ang 27 iba pang kandidata sa pangalawang edisyon ng nasabing pageant.

Itinanghal namang Miss Universe Philippines Tourism ang heavy-favorite na si Katrina Dimaranan na kumakatawan sa Taguig. Naiuwi rin ni Victoria Vincent ng Cavite ang Miss Universe Philippines Charity.

Wagi naman bilang first runner-up si Maureen Wroblewitz ng Pangasinan habang ang kandidata ng Cebu Province na si Steffi Rose Aberasturi ang second-runner up.

Sa question and answer, natapat kay Gomez ang tanong na “If, during your reign as Miss Universe Philippines, things happen in your life that make you sad and uninspired, how would you be able to continue inspiring others?”

Kalmado at diretso naman itong nasagot ni Beatrice at sinabing hindi ito susuko at lalabanan ang problemang kanyang kinahaharap para patuloy na makapag-inspire ng tao.

“It is very evident that all of us went through difficulties during this pandemic, but it is also proof that we are able to rise to the occasion, and if anything happen to me during my reign,

“I will not give up and inspire others by rising to the problems that I am encountering and by inspiring them that whatever you are going through, you will be able to overcome it.” ani Gomez na isa ring community development worker at Marines reservist.

Hakot award ang bagong kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa Miss Universe na si Bea Gomez nang masungkit din nito ang Best in Swimsuit at Best in Evening Gown sa nasabing patimpalak.

Naiuwi naman ni Maria Corazon Abalos ng Mandaluyong City ang Best in National Costume.

Susubukang maiuwi ni Gomez ang ikalimang korona sa bansa sa darating na Miss Universe sa Israel ngayong Disyembre.
