Maine Mendoza at Arjo Atayde
IPINAGTANGGOL ni Maine Mendoza ang boyfriend na si Arjo Atayde sa mga bashers na nangnenega ngayon sa aktor matapos itong magpositibo si COVID-19.
Mariing sinabi ng TV host-actress na hindi totoong tino-tolerate o kinakampihan niya si Arjo sa kinasasangkutan nitong kontrobersya kaugnay ng umano’y paglabag ng kanilang grupo sa health protocols habang nagsu-shooting sa Baguio City.
May ilang netizens kasi ang nag-comment nang hindi maganda about Arjo at talagang idinamay pa niya nila si Maine. Pero may mga nagtanggol naman sa “Eat Bulaga” Dabarkads tulad ng netizen na nagsabing, “Hindi isang Maine Mendoza ‘yun.”
Sinagot naman ito ng girlfriend ni Arjo ng, “Hello! I am not ‘tolerating’ him but there’s just so much you do not know about the story.”
Pahayag pa ng dalaga, umaasa siya na sana’y mabigyan din ng chance si Arjo na makapagpaliwanag at maibahagi ang tunay na nangyari sa kanilang shooting sa Baguio.
Nanawagan din siya sa mga netizens na huwag sana nilang ibase ang kanilang judgment sa pamamagitan ng mga nababasa lamang nila sa social media.
Katwiran ng TV host, “Because you might just be seeing an angle of the real scenario.”
Kahapon, naglabas ng official statement ang Feelmaking Productions, Inc., tungkol sa ginagawa nilang pelikula (Hey Joe) sa Baguio at kinumpirma ngang nagpositibo sa COVID-19 si Arjo at ang siyam pang katao na involved sa produksyon.
“Arjo Atayde tested positive for COVID-19 as shooting for his new film culminated in Baguio last August 16. Arjo was suffering from high fever, headaches, and difficulty in breathing.
“It was the mutual decision of Feelmaking Productions Inc., Arjo’s parents, and doctors to rush the actor, who has a pre-existing medical condition, straight to a hospital in Manila on August 17.
“We have provided assistance for nine others who tested positive for COVID-19 but are asymptomatic and are currently in quarantine. We have likewise coordinated with the local officials for the necessary safety protocols.
“The Atayde family has reached out to Mayor Benjamin Magalong and we assure him and the people of Baguio that we will comply with our commitments to the City. We are grateful for the opportunity to shoot in their beautiful city and apologize for whatever inconvenience that this unfortunate incident may have caused.
“We request for prayers for the speedy recovery of Arjo and the nine who tested positive,” ang pahayag ng Feelmaking Productions.
Nauna rito, inihayag ni Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong na pinaiimbestigahan na nila kung nagkaroon nga ng paglabag ang produksyon nina Arjo habang nagsu-shooting sa nasabing probinsya sa ipinatutupad na safety protocols.
